THE PARENT INSTITUTE:

The Shahu Shikshin Sanstha, Pandharpur is founded by former Cabinet Minister (MH) Honorable Prof. Laxamanrao Dhoble at Pandharpur on 10th July, 1980 to cater the need of education of the down trodden and poor. He believes that education could alone eradicate illiteracy, caste, faith, racial discrimination and inequality of sexes. He also struggles to bring his dream into reality.

The objective of the institution is to serve downtrodden and economically weaker section of the society, through the facilities like Hostels, Libraries, High schools and colleges, to impart educational, social and economic development and to awaken sense of humanity in human beings. 

The motto of institute is ‘Tamso Ma Jyotirgmaya’, it leads us from ignorance to truth, lead us from darkness to light and leads us from death to deathlessness. T prove this motto, institute has started Senior and Junior Colleges, D. Ed. and B. Ed. Colleges, Higher, Primary and Pre-primary Schools, Residential Schools, English Medium School, Law Colleges and Hostels throughout in Maharashtra.

The memorandum of institute is to spread education in all sections of society, to provide technical and academic education to boys and girls from primary to college level. Institute provides facilities such as education, lodging and boarding free of cost. It aims to inculcate among students self-reliance, self-respect and social responsibilities.

The institute is trying to promote awareness among students regarding national integration, democracy, social development, love for science and technology, civic and social qualities, social work and dignity of labor. According to objectives of the institution, the preference is given to establish and run hostels for students, start new schools and faculties in established colleges. Institute has arranged many academic as well as social, cultural programs every year for their employees overall development.
