PROFILE OF THE COLLEGE:

Vasundhara Kala Mahavidyalaya, Jule Solapur is affiliated to Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holker Splapur University, Solapur (Maharashtra). It is governed by Shahu Shikshan Sanstha, Pundharpur, a well-known educational institute in Maharashtra established by former Cabinet Minister (MH) Honorable Prof. Laxamanrao Dhoble. The college is established in July, 2000 and today it is one of the leading colleges affiliated to Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holker Splapur University, Solapur. The University Grants Commission, New Delhi, has recognized the said college u/s 2 (F) the UGC act 1956 letters dated 21/02/2013 and also u/s 12 (B) the UGC act 1956 letter dated 08/01/2014.

Our college provides higher education to the students associated with sanstha’s motto of “Tamso Ma Jyotirgmaya”. The college has a specific objective to enable students to face the challenges of the competitive world and bring higher educational opportunities within the reach of the underprivileged section of society. The college has been accredited by NAAC (Bangalore) ‘B’ Grade with CGPA 2.23. Solapur University has accredited the college with “A” grade in the latest Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) conduced for all colleges affiliated to the university. The college has been certified with ISO 9001 in 2019 and University has recognized the college as BEST COLLEGE NSS UNIT from Solapur University.

The college provides various academic amenities so as to attain Bachelors degree in the fields of Arts, Science, and Computer Science, Masters and Ph. D. degree in the subject of History. Also the college successfully runs various types of skill oriented and value added courses. The college has a beautiful building with a specious play ground with green campus, also large class rooms with white and digital boards, well equipped computer lab, exclusive library, separate auditorium hall, laboratories and museum.

The college is one of the reputed educational institutes, which has been producing responsible criticizes with the aim of their academic merits be successfully utilized for the society. With the pious intention of increasing knowledge database, the college regularly holds seminars, workshops, symposium, conference and special lecturers. These academic programmes provide intellectual stimulation to staff and students.

The college not only ensures the academic development of the students but also provide them with opportunities to prove their qualities, by means of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in the field of Sports, Cultural and NSS. The college has two well-equipped gyms separate for boys and girls by which the students are benefited. The students participate in University, State and National games, like Kho-kho, Wrestling and Athletics.

The cultural department of our college is a unique activity, which is providing full-flag opportunities to the students to present their cultural performances on various platforms. Our college actively participates in University Youth Festival every year; we two times stood second, runner-up and regularly get prizes every year in Youth Festival of University. The NSS unit act as an important supplementary unit of the college. Two units of NSS are functional and NSS volunteers extend fruitful services to the society through various activities.
